What is color analysis?
Imagine not having to second guess what color lipstick to buy in the winter or which shade of blonde suits your highlights. Wondering if you’re better as a warm or cool brunette, or which eyeshadow will complement your eyes and your outfit. Color analysis takes out the guesswork.
It’s a way to discover the tones that naturally harmonize with you. The colors that make your skin glow and your eyes stand out. It can feel surprisingly liberating to cut through the noise and focus only on the colors that help you look and feel your best. It simplifies your choices and inspires creativity.
The Process
1. Conversation: We start with a relaxed chat about your everyday challenges - what feels easy, what doesn’t and what you hope to get out of your session. This helps me understand where you are now and where you would like to go.
2. The Analysis: I’ll walk you through how the process works and explain the foundations behind finding your best palette. It’s always fun to see the difference between two colors - and that moment when your face lights up with the right one!
3. Your Palette and Makeup Review: At the end of your session, you’ll receive a digital swatch of your colors, along with a pdf that includes your palettes key characteristics and personalized makeup recommendations. You’re also welcome to bring your own makeup bag - we’ll go through it together to see which products work beautifully within your palette and what you might want to update or add.
My Approach to Color
Before color analysis became popular again, it was already part of my story - both in my career and my family.
As a hairstylist and makeup artist of nearly 25 year, color theory is second nature to me. When I worked on set, I often had to adjust colors depending on the lighting we were shooting in - and the same applies to finding the perfect hair color behind the chair. So much of beauty is about balance, and color is where it all begins.
When I was younger, I remember my mom being really into seasonal color. It was a big thing in the 80’s. So when it started making a comeback, it made me smile. It reminded me of one of the first things that inspired me to have the career I have now. In a way, it feels like an homage to my youth and to my mom, who taught me so much.
And it just makes sense! We all know what it feels like to wear a color that drains us or that makes us feel blah. Color analysis helps you move past the guesswork so you can focus on what actually makes you look and feel your best.
For me, its more than just finding your best colors - it’s about reconnecting with what makes you feel confident, expressive and authentically you.
*Color Analysis Payment Policy
Color analysis appointments require full payment at the time of booking to hold your date and time. Prepayments are non-refundable but may be transferred once to a future appointment if you provide at least 48 hours notice. All other hair appointments are paid at the time of your appointment.
